About .RU Domain Names
The .RU country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) is an extension that represents Russia. For companies that conduct business in Russia and individuals who want to reach the growing number of Internet users there, .RU domain names are a good investment. Registering a .RU domain name gives you regional recognition and an easy-to-manage Web presence.
Anyone can register a .RU domain.
If the registrant or admin contact is an organization/company located in Russia, they have to submit their taxpayer's identification number (10-digit number), Company registration number (9-digit number), and Registrant name.
Additionally, anyone who registers a .RU domain must include their birthdate (YYYY-MM-DD), and the passport number, date and location.
RU-CENTER is the registry for .RU domain names.
Registrants do not have the right to sell or transfer the domain name to any party for profit.
New registration lengths and renewals are for one year. Bulk purchasing is supported.
There is no registration grace period.
Renewals are allowed anytime between 61 days prior to expiration and three days prior to expiration.
There is no manual renewal or auto-renewal grace period.
Transfers out are accepted. Currently, transfers in are not allowed.

Yes. The number of nameservers required in order for a domain to resolve is two and the maximum length of a nameserver name is 185 characters, not including the domain name.
No. DNSSEC is not currently supported.
